We Shout!
Just talked to the booking-agent at Parken and we can now confirm that we will have our releaseparty at thier venue the 29:th of January. It’s still in the planning stages but we will promise a lot of suprises. This will not only be a chance for us to celebrate the release of our album but also a moment to give somthing back to the ones that’s been supporting us. As soon as everything is officially confirmed we’ll start a face-event and let the countdown begin!
When we started the band, my fist goal was a concert at the city’s biggest rock-pop club, Sticky Fingers. A goal we succeeded with, and in the past few years we have been playing there a lot. This year we were only going to make one show. But when we were down in Hultsfred at the Rookie festival we ran into David, the club manager, and he was really psyched on a Christmas show. Since I’m not in Gothenburg at the moment Linus and Fredrik went to Labalza alone. They made some small adjustements and created a new intro to the “Africa song”. Sounds great. Now we will just bounce the mixes and throw it away for mastering. I’v said this repeatedly, but now we´re soooooo close!!! In a few hours I take the car to leave from the warm sea winds for further studies. But have no fear. Everything will proceed as planned, and probably it will be a couple of trips back to the city that heats the most… Goodbye Goetet!!! Thank you oscar for this wonderful song! Take care! The 9:th and 10:th of October we will do a minitour from Gothenburg to Copenhagen. The two day tour is arranged by Kultur Ungdom and the other band that will follow is Flashing of Knives from Denmark. Two shows, two countries in one weekend. We just got booked to a gig at the new venue “Parken” in Gothenburg. Almost Famous is the name of the club and everything is arranged by SMFF and A&R:s from Gothenburg. Unfortunaly Oscar is away again, this time touring with his other band “Young Ones“. Lucky us Joel B helps us out again fo one last time. We can’t thank him enough.
A month ago Linus had a vision that we should pack our stufff and go to a place where noone could contact us. This so we could start working with the new material that we’ve been testing the last rehearsals. We needed a place far away from Gothenburg, and a cheap one. Just three days ago we found out that Rasmus parents had an apartament in France and that we could borrow Fredriks car for a week. Perfekt match. Sunday morning after almost no hours of sleep we loaded the car with electric drums, guitars, a bass and some personal belongings and took the ferry down to Fredrikshaven.
Tomorrow the “Way Out West” festival will begin in Gothenburg. We wont play but of course we will go there and watch other bands. This is a list of the shows you shouldn’t miss according to us. What are you going to see? Please leave a comment and let us know! Fredag 14 augusti
